Alright Oppo, I decided to scrap my plans of getting a Lexus GS because I've found what must be the most desirable sports sedan that is out there. The Brilliance BS6.
While everyone heard about !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! of the BS6 quite a while ago, I only now realized its actual brilliance while searching for the cheapest well equipped car you can get for your money. And whats not to like? For around 3500$, you can get this incredibly rare (probably less than 200 sold!), Giugiaro AND Pininfarina designed, BMW built, Porsche engineered !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with a manual transmission, a Mitsubishi 4G63 (same as in the Eclipse GSX!), power windows, mirrors, locks, AC, alloys, PDC and tons of other crap.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Tell me Oppo, how could you possibly want any other car?
Edit: Found a slightly older one for only !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Because 8 year old car shouldn't do this in crash test. Amongst other reasons.

Exactly the video I linked to. I feel the urge to buy one and just run it into the ground without having to worry about a thing, while still being comfortable.

Did you say "sports sedan" about a car with 120hp?

BMW built, Porsche engineered, thats as sporty as it gets!

Oh, I didn't click any of the links :P. Well, it could be interesting experience.

Then again, Porsche is also responsible for this abomination:

4G63?

Just imagine the potential

In an actual BMW, Porsche or Lexus you get 200 + HP though. Which you know, you can be sporty with.

Depends. Outside of #murica you can buy the 3-series with a 116hp diesel engine.

In an actual non tongue-in-cheek comment, I would never state that a cheap 4 cylinder Chinese pos can be a sports sedan though.

Hints of Camry and Malibu, yet not quite as bland.

They've improved it a bit since then:

Well, Brilliance does probably have some of the better cars from a Chinese automaker - take that for what you will. I'd kind of wonder what a similar year Skoda or Dacia would go for though, it may make sense in China for a patriotic customer that wants to wave the flag, but it seems like there would be more practical options in Germany.

I think the only comparable vehicle from Skoda would be their flagship sedan, the Superb. 2007 gasoline models start somewhere around 6.5 grand, 2007s which are the current generation around 8 grand. You'll get a similarly equipped but much more powerful and higher quality car with the Superb. Dacia doesn't really sell anything large, a loaded Duster might be as close as you can get. 2010 Dusters which are the first MY start around 7 grand. The only real alternative to the BS6 might be the Chevy (Daewoo) Epica which are around 4-5 grand, but again you would get a much better, more powerful car.

why have an unsafe Chinese car when you can have the North Korean Pyeonghwa Hwiparam version.

Holy crap yes! I wasn't aware there was a north korean built version as well, that makes it even more boutique !
